We are thrilled and delighted to be able to offer a festive treat.
Carol Thatcher, journalist, author and reality TV star will be joining us for lunch on Thursday 4th December 2008. The 2005 Queen of the Jungle is renowned for her unique mixture of honesty, humour and insightful perspective on many and varied topics.
We will be holding this lunch at Harrison’s, Balham’s newest and coolest neighborhood brasserie which Sam Harrison opened to great critical acclaim with the backing of Rick Stein earlier this year. The restaurant is on Bedford Hill within walking distance of Balham Tube, Balham overground and the Sainsbury’s car park.
Tickets cost £25 per person (includes a glass of house wine, a choice of main courses and coffee/tea). It promises to be great fun. Why not have a Christmas treat and get a group together. Tickets are limited so do book early to guarantee your place at this event. The event starts at 12.00 pm and finishes at 2.30 pm.
Carol has kindly agreed to sign copies of her recently published book ‘A Swim-on Part in the Goldfish Bowl: A Memoir’ on the day.
In her memoir, Carol tells us about what it was like to grow up as The Milk Snatcher's daughter, to be the sister of the more (in)famous Mark, and to live a life that she describes as a 'swim-on part in the goldfish bowl'. As a schoolgirl, student, journalist and now TV personality and indefatigable world traveller, she lives life to the full. Hers is a rivetingly funny and revealing memoir and as she hurtles from one incident and accident to another, you will relive your affection for her all over again.
